Chris Autio is a photographer residing in Missoula, Montana. He specializes in photographing artwork for artists, galleries, and publications. Exhibitions of his art include mural-sized black-and-white landscapes, often oil colored. HANDS ON, an exhibit at Missoula Art Museum, of 36 people in their vocation. Another series includes montaged sepia-toned nudes. Autio has traveled to Mexico and Australia, where he filmed artists for educational films Glass Blowing, Potters of Oaxaca, and Weavers of Oaxaca. Other films include documentaries on the Archie Bray Foundation, Woodstack ‘95, and The Snake River System, on Sculptor Patrick Zentz’ Installation in Ontario, Oregon.

Chris has lectured for photography and art classes at his alma mater, MSU. He was published by Montana Arts Council quarterly, “How to Photograph Your Art.”
